Like filing your tax return by the time IRS tells you to, and getting prescriptions refilled when they run out, and taking the cats to the vet for their regular check-up time. Like getting the windshield ding repaired before it cracked (from that April 1st California dust storm).<\/p>\n

H&R Block took care of the taxes for me, wonderful service, wonderful folks, nice office there on Watt Avenue; Rite-Aid close by for the prescriptions; Banfield for the cats. SafeLite came out and repaired the ding \u2013 it\u2019s guaranteed no matter where I go from here. In this day and age, we\u2019re \u201cportable\u201d; our records follow us around. That\u2019s nice, I think, now everything is taken care of; I\u2019m up to date.<\/p>\n

But then I heard a noise, a scraping sound from underneath the car. A limb, perhaps? The temp light came on next. Time for Scion experts now; I dare not drive the Sierra with unknowns. I headed for Maita Toyota, near by.\u00a0 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Sean Smith listened to my tale, made notes, \u201cnot to worry, we\u2019ll check everything,\u201d he smiled. \u201cRelax and have a cup of coffee while you wait.\u201d I headed for the caf\u00e9 in the lobby there, claimed my coffee and my comfy chair, watched kids playing on the double-deckered ship that entertains while big folks wait. Sean found me there, gave me the news, \u201cnothing wrong, we checked the fluids too, adjusted the air in the tires, and washed your car, no charge. You\u2019re set to drive.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Well wow! I went to meet the General Manager, Dave Klingensmith, told him about the Journey across the USA, the 50 Capital Cities quest. \u201cCome out and see my Scion,\u201d I said. He did; we got a lot of pictures, with his camera and with mine. \u201cI\u2019m putting this on Facebook,\u201d he said. \u201cThis is quite a feat.\u201d \"\"<\/a>Dave Lundgaard was there too, he\u2019s the Internet Fleet Manager at Maita. He grabbed a Toyota magazine for me, told me I should send my story in. Well wow! I love this place. Lorinda Peska from Maita\u2019s Customer Relations called me later, said she had the Facebook entry written up. \u201cMay I post your website too?\u201d she asked. \u201cBy all means,\u201d I said. \u201cLet\u2019s swap.\u201d And so we did. Follow us.<\/p>\n
